Next to the mono disciplinary Physics programme there are three possibilities to combine programmes:

The combined programmes* Physics and Astronomy* and Physics and Mathematics last three years and result in two bachelor degrees..
The combined programmes Physics and Computer Science comprises a combined programme for the first year and results in a double first year certificate. The remaining years are filled with courses in consultation with the study advisor.

Exchange & Study Abroad Programme for International Students

The Study Abroad program for international students can be taken in the Fall semester (1 Sep – 1 Feb).

A choice can be made of the following courses of at least 30 EC:

Courses offered in the fall semester

Courses offered in the spring semester

In the Spring semester, it is possible under conditions to do a research project of 24 EC with one of the research groups.
An additional 6 EC of courses can be chosen from the spring courses on offer, as described in the tabs 'Tweede jaar' (Second year) and 'Keuzevakken jaar 2' (Electives Second year).

Good knowledge of the physics core curriculum: Optics, Classical Mechanics, Electromagnetism, basic Quantummechanics, basic Statistical Physics, basic Solid State Physics, Thermodynamics; plus the necessary mathematical tools (Calculus and Linear Algebra). For specific prerequisites, please see the description of each elective course of the list above.
Experimental Physics is a prerequisite for admission to the research project.
