Structure of the Programme (120 EC)

The specialisation Astronomy and Science Based Business (SBB) offers students the possibility to combine the astronomy curriculum with training in management, business and entrepreneurship. Students are encouraged to enhance their skills and competencies for pursuing entrepreneurial business opportunities created in science and research. The 2-year programme consists of an Astronomy component, to be followed in the first year, and a Science Based Business (SBB) or Research Based Business (RBB) component, to be followed in the second year:

Year 1 Mandatory Course: Level EC Stellar Structure and Evolution 500 6 Other Astronomy Core Course 500 6 Electives: Level EC Non-Astronomy Courses 400 – 500 6 – 12 Other Astronomy Courses 400 – 500 6 – 12 Research Projects: Level EC Medium Research Project in Astronomy 600 30 Year 2 Mandatory Course: Level EC SBB Fundamentals or Principles of RBB 400 15 Internship: Level EC SBB Internship or RBB Assignment 600 25 – 35 Electives: Level EC Astronomy or SBB/RBB Courses 400 – 500 10 – 20 ### Master Study Plan
