Philosophy (60 EC): Philosophy, Politics and Economics

Structure of the programme

The MA programme (60 EC): Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) consists of the following components:

Core Seminars (in total 20 EC)

Students complete two compulsory core seminars (each 10 EC), one of which is a research seminar.

Optional Courses (in total 30 EC)

Students select three optional courses. The optional courses offered within the programme are organised in three pathways: Politics and Philosophy (PP), Economics and Philosophy (EP), and Integrative and Transdisciplinary courses (IT) that are focusing on the intersection between philosophy, politics & economics and other fields in the arts, humanities, social sciences, and sciences. Students can specialise in PP, EP or IT subjects by taking two courses in either one of the pathways.

Master’s thesis (10 EC)

The MA programme will be concluded by a master’s thesis of 10 EC. The master’s thesis is an independent academic contribution to philosophy in the field of Philosophy, Politics and Economics.
