Description
 In the first 2 weeks the student will read 4 or more experimental scientific articles, and will write a short thesis, which should serve as the introduction part of the research proposal. Based on this study the student will formulate the research questions that he/she would like to address in the proposal. In the second two weeks the student will write a detailed research proposal for a four years Ph.D. project, according to the NWO-ALW open competition format.
Methods of instruction
 The topic is depending on the particular interest of the student (may be related to the MSc research project), and literature will be selected with help of the supervisor of the MSc project.
