Description
This course looks at culture, health, disease and health care from a psychological perspective and at cultural aspects of core psychological concepts and models.
Course objectives
After completion of the course, students are able to:
Interpret cultural aspects of personality, psychopathology, stress, pain and illness,
Describe cultural differences in health beliefs, lifestyles and health; and
Understand communication between health care professionals and migrant patients and the use of healthcare facilities; and
Demonstrate skills in developing a scientific presentation.

Examination
Students are not automatically enrolled for an examination. They can register via uSis from 100 to 10 calendar days before the date; students who are not registered will not be permitted to take the examination.
