The regular credit is 3 EC for participation in a full Summer/Winter School, e.i. attending two courses in week 1 and two courses in week 2 (or two courses during one school and two courses during another). This is for just participating: reading the materials and attending the lectures. There are no exams nor other ways in which the student is evaluated – that is why the EC-credit is fairly small. However, you may extend the credit to 5 EC or 10 EC if you write a paper as a sequel to one of the courses. This you need to negociate with the LOT instructor and with one of your local instructors. The actual supervision and evaluation will be mainly done by a local colleague (since the LOT instructor will probably leave the Netherlands after the Summer/Winter School).
