Parallels in World History

In the light of some theoretical and historiographical reflections on the theme in general, the course will discuss some recent works on various aspects of colonial history in East and West. The course will focus on colonial societies and information gathering.

Course objectives

To gain in depth knowledge of some key issues in colonial history; capacity to understand and compare some regional case-studies in the global context.
