Quantum Theory, Bachelor of Physics.
Introduction to quantum information processing from a physics perspective; topics include: quantum bits, quantum gates, density matrices, entanglement, teleportation, Bell inequalities, quantum circuits, quantum algorithms, quantum error correction
At the end of the course the student should be able to understand and discuss the essential aspects of a modern research publication in the field of quantum computation.
Mode of instruction
Instruction classes, where students will be asked to present their solutions to problems handed out in advance.
During the course: active participation in the instruction classes; at the end of the course, each student will give an oral presentation (with written handout) on a topic of their choice, and submit a summary of 3 publications chosen from a list
