Description

The aim of this Honours Class is to identify and discuss the challenges evolving from the transition of a classic reactive disease driven care model towards a structured proactive population as well as individualized care model in the 21st century. This transition is made possible by innovative technologies and increasing knowledge of the human genome, risk assessment techniques, indicated prevention effects and personalized medicine results. In this Honours Class the students will be introduced to this multidisciplinary field. The invited faculty consists of recognized experts in the various scientific and clinical fields involved in this transition process ranging from basic science through epidemiology, statistics and decision making to clinical and public health.
