Description

This course is aimed at upper intermediate students who wish to further develop the four language skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) for recreational and academic purposes.

We will use a comprehensive advanced-level method: C de C1. Modern in terms of its content, covers topical issues as well as subjects of general interest, providing multiple examples of Spanish in context throughout. The flexible format of the units in this course facilitates a flipped classroom approach to learning (placing a particular emphasis on independent study).

Focusing on grammar and vocabulary in equal measure, special attention is given to word placement, frequently used combinations of words and idiomatic expressions. There are also activities that will enable students to investigate and experiment with the use of the Spanish language, and ideas are provided relating to the development of learning strategies. In addition, extra importance will be given to the development of multicultural awareness.
