Mode of Instruction

Integrated lecture-seminar, twice a week.
The first 60 minutes will be dedicated to the discussion of new material, and in the last 30 minutes the students can work on exercises and pose questions.

Written exam, weakly homework assignments, online quizzes.

Students can earn a bonus of maximum 1 point on their exam grade by handing in homework every other week and participating in online quizzes.

The final grade is determined by adding bonus to the grade of the written exam, and then rounding off to the nearest half integer (e.g. 7.24 becomes 7 and 7.25 becomes 7 1/2).
Grades 5.4 and lower are rounded to a 5 and grades from 5.5 and higher to a 6. The final grade can never be more than a 10.
